A Deadly Legacy

A Deadly Legacy:

Landmines cause injuries that may prevent survivors from working, and people injured may live far from city hospitals and have limited access to the treatment they need to save their limbs. In 1997 the International Campaign to Ban Landmines received the Nobel Peace Prize for their work to ban these weapons.
